After graduating from college with a degree in Commercial Art, Wayne attended Virginia Commonwealth University and began working at The Shockley Agency in Richmond, Virginia. Initially specializing in graphic design he began producing food photography while at Shockley. In 1984 FX Photography and Design was established in Blacksburg, Virginia. Since that time Wayne Dunford has photographed a wide array of subjects and some famous ones including Eddie Rabbitt, "Big Tom" from Survivor, and Kerry Earnhardt.
